Choosing a Safety Consultant
With safety practitioners, just like other services, you tend to get what you pay for. Although Moore McPhee consultancy rates are extremely competitive, there are unscrupulous, poorly qualified and/or inexperienced consultants who will charge even less, and provide very little in return. By providing poor service, such operators place their clients at risk usually at a time when they can least afford such exposure.
To help potential clients we have drawn up a brief checklist of what to look for in a safety practitioner.
-
Minimum 10 years experience as a safety professional, either as a Junior WHS Consultant or a WHS Manager; and
-
Minimum 5 years experience as a consultant for a General Consultant; Minimum 10 years of experience for a Senior Consultant; or
-
Minimum Certificate IV in OHS for a General Consultant; Minimum Graduate Diploma for a Senior Consultant; and
-
Public liability insurance $10,000,000.00; and
-
Professional indemnity insurance minimum $2,000,000.00; and
-
The practice should have a published Code of Ethics; and
-
Expertise in your industry and the field of relevance, e.g. management systems, guarding, hygiene etc.
Moore McPhee WHS Consultants Pty Ltd meet all these requirements.
